Oct. 24, 2008 - PRLog -- We start with the basics of personal security – products for your self-defense.  One of our most popular items is the key chain pepper spray.  Its compact size makes it convenient to carry at all times – walking/jogging, out late at night, etc.  Other popular items include personal alarms and stun guns. Newly designed stun guns are now smaller yet more powerful – some are even disguised as cell phones. They can offer immediate protection if a threatening situation should arise.  

For home security we offer a wide variety of products that can add an additional layer of protection to your premises. One of the key elements in home protection is an audible alarm.   There are many types available, from a simple, all self-contained motion alarm, to a full home system. A feature in many of the alarms is an automatic phone dialer - it can call up to four phone numbers.  In addition, it’s  a good idea to have a yard sign and window stickers in place – they serve as a great deterrent.  Other items for the home include, drive-way alerts, gun locks, outdoor motion lights and security cameras. Almost all of our products are packaged as DIY – install it yourself and save money.

Many of the items that are used in home security can also be utilized in a typical small business.  The demand for surveillance cameras has grown greatly in the last three years. In 1982,  Morris Industries was founded on the basis of a newly patented product called the Chime Alert.  The Chime Alert serves as a “door announcer” for commercial businesses, and is unique because it requires no batteries or electricity – two permanent magnets provide all the power.  Morris continues today with the manufacture and wholesale distribution of the Chime Alert, and complimentary products.  The Safety & Security Store was  an  expansion into the retail field to fill a market niche.  The goal of the Safety & Security Store is to match the perfect product to the customers need and provide the service and expertise to exceed their expectations.
