Pajama Producer Preps for Party Percussion

Oct. 29, 2008 - PRLog -- Pajama purveyor, Ojamas Sleepwear, is gearing up for what could be an avalanche of orders if Barack Obama wins the presidential election as expected on Tuesday.  Election results-watching parties are popping up in major cities across the US where supporters are gathering to cheer the Democratic nominee on to victory.  Some of  the more imaginative events are taking on themes including several which have fun with rhymes if nothing to do with the election itself.  One such event is the Obama Pajama Party at China 1 Antique in New York.  On Tuesday night, supporters and revelers will attend the gala event clad in pajamas.

While many see this as a fun expression of support, pajama provider, Ojamas, sees it as a blessing and potential problem. "It's a good problem to have," says principal, Ron Levi, "but if you multiply it by 1000, the prospect is rather daunting.  Our challenge is to accurately estimate the demand and produce sufficient quantities in time."  The Ojamas factory is working overtime to fill a backlog of orders which have been accumulating since July when the company debuted the concept.  The pajamas are literally selling before they can be produced.  Hundreds of customers have been waiting patiently, some for as many as three months, for the coveted campaign sleepers.  "Those customers who have ordered already are first in line to receive their Ojamas," says Levi. But the demand is pushing pajamas prices upward.  Large retailers are beginning to eye the fledgling business eager to take advantage of the building wave of demand.  "The only place you can get these today is on our website.  We have spoken confidentially with some interested parties, but there is no deal in place to make Ojamas available through other retailers at this time."
