PRLog -- Darrell Brown is the director of state and local relations for Brown University. He has been in this capacity since 2004 and is responsible for directing economic development and strategic growth. Darrell accomplishes this through lobbying, working on campus and within the community and with local officials. He also serves on several zoning boards, liquor license commissions and is the local liaison for a variety of change projects. Darrell is an expert on lobbying and is an esteemed member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association. He holds a JD from the prestigious Howard University Law School in Washington, D.C. and is active in the honor society, Phi Delta Phi. Prior to joining the faculty of Brown, Darrell was active in several political campaigns and was instrumental in the election of a city councilman and prosecutor to office. Additionally, Darrell has served as a policy advisor for the government, chief of staff to an attorney general and economic development advisor to a mayor. He is well known and highly regarded for all of his professional achievements and for his exemplary record of public service. Darrell credits this success to his passion for working with people and for instituting positive change, and aspires to continued growth through political office. Darrell is equally committed to the community on a personal level and maintains a dynamic philanthropic profile, supporting the NAACP and several organizations that benefit societal change. In his spare time, Darrell enjoys playing chess, listening to jazz, and gardening.
