Clinton Ward, President, states, "The approach we took in creating the Job Loss Prescription was to combine traditional advice with the steps and counseling we give our corporate clients who are in a turnaround or rebuilding situation.  We then married this to the resources that were available on the internet such as amazon.com and the many e-zine authors who are experts in their own fields.  Then we wrapped this structure around the individual but, and this is where the program differs from everything else out there, we pictured the person who has lost their job as their own business.  In reality, they really are, selling their services to an employer in exchange for money.  Their skills are the commodity to be sold.  We want them to ultimately define the opportunity they want and create as strong and desirable a product, themselves, as possible."

By looking at the person in this light, we have developed a six-step program to move them to their next position.  The steps are designed to:

- help deal with the initial shock of losing a job;

- produce a well thought out financial plan;

- bring clarity as to where they are and what they want;

- focus on the tools they will need to stand out from the crowd;

- develop a plan for their immediate future; and

- create the right structures and systems to keep them ahead of their competition.

The six steps are broken into forty pieces.  We have found that by dividing the steps into smaller pieces, the level of accomplishment increases and the rate for successful completion of the entire program rises exponentially.

In order to be as "user friendly" as possible, the program has been placed on a separate website with no registration required.  Because this program is constantly evolving, we encourage visitors to check back often or to register for automatic notifications of upgrades to the website.  A companion workbook or individual worksheets are available, but not necessary, to assist users in successfully completing the program.
