Osborn’s Automotive Marks 20th Anniversary Providing Trustworthy Auto Repair in Redondo Beach

Dec. 19, 2008 - PRLog -- A lot has changed in auto repair since Master Technician, Scott “Oz” Osborn, first opened Osborn’s Automotive in June of 1988 in Redondo Beach.

Twenty years ago auto repair technicians could easily access a car’s engine, diagnose the problem and fix it. Today's technicians need specialized training as well as electronic and computer based tools to access onboard computers and do complex diagnostics on newer cars.  To that end, Osborn and his technicians are constantly training through online classes and attending seminars.  One technician just returned from a three-day Hybrid school.  “We really work hard at staying on top of the ever-changing technology,” said Oz.

In 2001, after 13 years in the Riviera Village, Oz moved his shop to its current and larger facility at 1001 Pacific Coast Highway at Avenue B in Redondo Beach.  The decision to move was a good one and Osborns Automotive has continued to grow.

Osborn’s team includes four ASE-certified auto mechanics with a combined experience of over 110 years, a service manager with over 20 years experience, and his wife, Nancy, who has done the marketing, accounting, taxes and banking since day one.  Osborn’s offers general auto repair work on all makes and models of cars from classics and SUVs to the newest hybrids.  Oz’s new "shop car" is a sassy black convertible Smart Fortwo, which can be seen driving around Redondo Beach delivering customers and picking up parts.
 
Osborn’s is proud to have been a AAA approved auto repair shop for 20 years.  Their quality work has been recognized with numerous awards:

• 2007 Shop of the Year Award from the Automotive Training Institute
• Voted "South’s Bay BEST Auto Repair" in 2007 and 2008 by the local newspaper

Oz’s proudest achievement is his shop’s enduring reputation for excellence, which he has earned through 20 years of hard work, honesty and integrity. “We are the shop that other shops send their problems to and that says a lot,” he added.  Osborn’s Automotive is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., closed on Saturday and Sunday.
