Doubletree Hotel Opens Westchester County's Only Piano Bar!

Jan. 20, 2009 - PRLog -- Westchester residents can now enjoy the unique experience of the county’s only piano bar at the Doubletree Hotel in Tarrytown.  Located in the beautiful new lobby with beamed ceilings and dual fireplaces, the new Doubletree Piano Bar offers a grand piano with bar seating, along with a cozy ensemble of chairs and tables.

Westchester’s own “Piano Man,” Peter De Hoff, will be appearing Friday and Saturday nights from 8 to 11 p.m.  Mr. De Hoff has been entertaining audiences across the country and internationally as a solo performer on piano with vocals, as well as a band leader since 1973.

In the early 80’s, he was a founding member of Dr. Cheeko’s Island Sounds in Atlantic City and later moved the group to San Diego.  After re-locating to the New York metro area, he was the sole performer for such popular piano bars as Emanon’s and the Tinder Box, and frequently played the Marriot Marquis Piano Bar in Times Square.  Last summer, he served as Musical Director for singer Tyrah Lindsay at the 2008 Norwalk Jazz Festival.  

The Doubletree Hotel, located at 455 South Broadway in Tarrytown, recently underwent a multi-million dollar renovation. The entire 247-room hotel has been completely refurbished and now boasts the largest Grand Ballroom in Westchester with 10,000 square feet of space.  A total of 24,000 square feet of meeting and pre-function space includes an additional ballroom and 17 meeting rooms.  The hotel also offers a complimentary Business Center, indoor pool, sauna, fitness center and a separate Glatt Kosher kitchen for accommodating Kosher events.
