Follow on Google News | The Palace for New ThinkingThe Palace for New Thinking was launched by Dr. Edward de Bono in Malta under the patronage of the Prime Minister and the Minister of Education.
The purpose of the Palace for New Thinking is to provide a platform for new ideas; to generate new concepts on the global macro level and to make these alternative concepts available in situations requiring possibility design, especially prior to conflict resolution negotiations. In 2009, The Palace for New Thinking is organising a series of monthly meetings on priority focus areas so as to challenge the current thinking, develop alternative ways of achieving current targets: generation of possibilities is key and the reports from the meetings will list new concepts, values and ideas as an update to current perceptions that would then be diffused to the EU and international organisations. The first meetings are to take place on 28th and 29th of January, 2009 in Malta. These meetings will have two foci: conflict resolution and the current economic crisis. Under conflict resolution, the Israeli-Palestinian issue will be the main sub-focus while the current economic crisis will explore new ways of dealing with unemployment. The full day programmes, running from 9.30am to 4.00pm, are as follows and may be attended according to relevance: WEDNESDAY 28TH JANUARY, 2009 Focus: Conflict Resolution Sub-focus: THURSDAY 29TH JANUARY, 2009 Focus: Sub-focus: End
