Oxford Valley Mall Hires New Guest Services Manager

Jan. 28, 2009 - PRLog -- The Oxford Valley Mall recently hired Margo Christensen to serve as its new Guest Services Manager. Oxford Valley Mall is a super regional mall located in Langhorne, Pa., that houses more than 150 retailers and is anchored by JC Penney, Macy’s and Sears.

“Christensen brings more than 20 years of administrative management experience including hands-on supervision of all phases of retail products from inception to shelf. Her expertise makes her an excellent addition to the Oxford Valley Mall team,” said Deb Tageson, Oxford Valley Mall’s General Manager.

As Guest Services Manager, Christensen oversees all aspects of the mall’s Guest Services Representatives as well as tenant and guest relations, with the goal of offering outstanding assistance and customer service to all of its visitors. She also works with Oxford Valley’s Marketing Manager, Patricia Gillett, to reach out to the community regarding the wide variety of on-going events that make the mall not only exciting, but a welcoming, safe and family-friendly environment.

According to Christensen, “The Guest Services Manager position at Oxford Valley Mall is ideal for me. Working in this capacity allows me to combine my professional experience and outgoing personality to serve the mall’s tenants and provide excellent service to mall guests.” Her professional philosophy is simple: whether toys or Cadillacs, the principles of management are the same, only the vocabulary of the industry changes.

Before transitioning to the Oxford Valley Mall, Christensen worked as a Product Development Manager at Frankford Candy Company in Philadelphia, supervising all aspects of their 22 million dollar Easter specialty line. Christensen also served as Marketing and Product Development Manager at Martin/F. Weber Co., a manufacturer of quality fine art materials.

Originally from Massachusetts, Christensen graduated from Norwood High School and holds a Bachelors of Arts from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. She has dedicated her time as a ‘friend’ to the memory impaired, visiting with patients in assisted living residences and currently provides volunteer support as a peer counselor for abused women in the Philadelphia-area.

Christensen is an ancient Egyptian history buff and she is passionate about garden architecture and the cultural arts. She currently resides in Yardley, Pa.
