Monmouth County NJ Spa Reports Good News In Bad Economy

Business is up for Aquamedica Salon and Day Spa in Long Branch NJ. Owner Valentina Chistova credits smart marketing, client appreciation, and an enthusiastic staff for the accomplishment.

Feb. 19, 2009 - PRLog -- With so many businesses, especially day spas, closing their doors or struggling to stay open, it’s somewhat of a miracle that Aquamedica Salon and Day Spa in Long Branch NJ is reporting good news for 2009.  But, according to owner Valentina Chistova, it’s no miracle that has brought them such good fortune.

Aquamedica has always offered the kind of service and personalized attention one would expect at a fancy B&B.  Valentina and her son, Anatoliy, run the spa all week and are always at the front desk or mingling with clients.  Part of the appeal, guests say.

When the economy took a turn for the worst, business undoubtedly suffered, as luxuries like massages and facials were reluctantly removed from the family budget.    Out of genuine care and love for their clients and their business, Valentina and Anatoliy rolled out the ‘Aquamedica Cares’ program.  A series of weekly, sometimes daily emails to their database of clients, and special alerts on the web informing NJ residents of major discounts on their favorite spa services.

This is no gimmick and there is no fine print.  Valentina and Anatoliy set out to take on the economy and help their devoted clientele enjoy their favorite Aquamedica spa services.

Valentina said of her decision to offer such steep discounts, “We were either going to tumble, or we had to rumble.  We chose to rumble and take on the economy!  We’re trying to make life a little bit sweeter for our fellow NJ residents.”

Savings as much as 50% off are offered throughout the month and sales on gift certificate purchases like Buy One Get One Free help consumers maintain a positive outlook.  The staff is also thankful for Valentina’s thoughtful and smart business attitude.  Instead of sitting with empty appointment books, they are busy doing what they love best, helping people feel and look their best.

In a time when most spas are empty, Aquamedica is bustling with business.  “Generosity throughout the year creates an environment where people are happy to work, and clients can feel that,” said Valentina.  Aquamedica also donates time and spa services to breast cancer patients and survivors during their annual ‘Just For Her Event’.  Every October for one day, Valentina closes the doors to the public and donates free spa and salon services to these amazing women.

If Darwin’s theory of Survival of the Fittest is true, it definitely appears that Aquamedica is the fittest spa around.

Aquamedica was named as the ‘Most Romantic Spa’ by NJ Monthly magazine, Best Day Spa in the USA for 2008 by Spavelous.com, and was the recipient of the ‘Reader’s Choice Award’ 2007, 2008 from the Asbury Park Press Newspaper.
