Dr. Anderson will leverage her industry expertise and influence to garner philanthropic support of REF, which endeavors to improve patients’ lives by financing research and training that augments prevention, treatment and cure of rheumatic diseases.  The Development Advisory Council is charged with reviewing, modifying, implementing and promoting the REF’s individual giving programs.

Dr. Anderson’s appointment is a natural progression within ACR ranks given her long tenure as a board member and requisite member of the REF’s Circle of Leadership—distinguished donors who contribute a minimum of $1,000 to the Annual Giving Campaign during the fiscal year (July 1 - June 30).  Circle of Leadership contributors provide the financial strength which creates a margin of excellence needed to enhance the educational opportunities provided by the REF. Dr. Anderson is also past-president of the Association of Rheumatology Health Professionals (ARHP), a division of ACR.

During her tenure at the helm of DAC, Dr. Anderson has positioned the company as an international player in clinical trials, boasting expertise in several therapeutic areas. Dr. Anderson’s achievements have been profiled by Thomson CenterWatch, as well as other business media. In 2006, PharmaVOICE named her one of the “100 Most Inspiring People” in the life sciences industry. She was also nominated for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year in 2007.
