By: Leah Rice Many people in the area refer to it as little Maria’s, because of the Restaurant that is owned by the same family in Roxborough, Maria’s Ristorante on Summit which is a casual fine dining restaurant and bar. You can have a very nice dinner there with an affordable, flavorful bottle of wine. The D’Alicandro family opened this restaurant 5 years ago. It has been rated excellent by Zagat for the past three years. “Our big news is that the Conshohocken location is reopened. It is quite noticeable that many people missed it. The restaurant has been full, and there have been sightings of the same people for lunch and dinner on the same day. It is not surprising since the diverse menu has something for everyone,” said Maria’s Pizza and Pasta spokesperson, Ann Demilio. “High quality ingredients have played a huge role in this pizza place. You can have a spinach salad with grilled chicken, walnuts, and gorgonzola cheese for lunch and then have a great dish of raviolis for dinner. So why not go back for dinner.” The family also opened a location in Broad Axe in the fall as well that has the same great menu as Conshohocken. There are many more seats at the Broad Axe location, so it is a great place to bring a bottle of wine and have an excellent pizza, such as chicken parmigiana pizza. The menu at both locations features 20 gourmet pizzas, such as a shrimp scampi pizza, eggplant parmigiana pizza, chicken marsala pizza and pescatore pizza. There are over thirty salad toppings for your mixed green, spinach or romaine lettuce base, with homemade salad dressings that are fresh, and healthy. If are in the mood for some comfort food, try the spaghetti and homemade meatballs. # # # You can visit Maria’s on the web at www.mariaspizzapasta.com or call the Conshohocken location at (610-941-2300) End
