Metl-Span Panels Provide Streamlined Look For Pre-Engineered Building

Feb. 25, 2009 - PRLog -- The 60,000 sq. ft. 100 Armstrong Way pre-engineered building project was ideally suited for subcontractor Barnes Buildings & Management Group, Inc., Weymouth, MA.  “We specialize in design/build projects that integrate insulated metal panel systems with pre-engineered systems.  And 95% of the time we use Metl-Span,” says president Marty Barnes.

This time was no exception.  Barnes utilized approximately 20,000 sq. ft. of Metl-Span CF-30 and CF-36 Striated Panels in horizontal configuration and CF-42 Striated Panels installed vertically.

“The owner wanted a ‘streamlined’ look, something resembling an aluminum composite material,” according to Barnes.  “The horizontal installation combined with a special metallic finish on the panels really delivered the look he wanted.  And Metl-Span provides a great value so that pleased him, too.  Everyone is delighted with the finished job.”

The project won the 2005 National Award of Excellence for the MBCEA (Metal Building Contractors and Erector Association) warehouse division.

Metl-Span pioneered many of the developments of insulated metal panels and continues to make significant contributions to design innovation and technology that have become industry standards.
