Wakefield Thermal Solutions announces the hiring of Paul Smentek to join the Sales Team.

March 3, 2009 - PRLog -- Wakefield Thermal Solutions, one of North America’s premier, oldest and largest Thermal Solutions providers is pleased to announce the hiring of Paul Smentek as Global Distribution Manager.  

   Paul will be responsible for the sales and marketing of thermal, extruded and aluminum fabricated products to the distribution market throughout the globe.   Other responsibilities will be to work closely with the contract manufacturing customers as well as some marketing duties.    Paul has over 30 years of distribution experience, most recently with Aavid, where he had the title of Director, North American Distribution and Divisional Operations.

   Wakefield Thermal Solutions, headquartered in Pelham, New Hampshire, has been a major provider to the Thermal Solutions market since 1957.  Wakefield’s primary business designs and manufactures standard and customized fabricated heat sinks, which dissipate heat from electronic components.  

   Wakefield also extrudes, fabricates and machines products from their New Hampshire, California and Asian locations.  Wakefield’s capabilities include extruding 35 million pounds of aluminum extrusions per year, over 100 CNC machining centers and numerous other fabricating pieces of equipment.  This makes Wakefield the largest independent aluminum extruder and fabricator in the US.
