March 9, 2009 - PRLog -- Wireless/Telecom/IT presence in nuclear  and Renewal energy power plants is inevitable. The government and industry/commercial sectors are preparing. In the U.S., where no new nuclear facilities have opened in decades, nuclear power  and renewal energy will play a role in the country’s energy policy, whose intent is to temper global warming by burning less fossil fuel and to reduce reliance on foreign oil. Power generation utilities are striving to use wireless technologies in nuclear power plants, but they face a number of important challenges including infrastructural issues, security risks, reliability questions, and interference problems. Affinity CellNet sees this as an opportunity to expand its business. Affinity CellNet plans to expand its operation and  plans to add new Board Members to help the organization’s future relative to business development, Executive Leadership, Raising Capital, and Financial Oversight.
Board members may include retired senior level executives from: Bechtel, Shaw Group, Siemens, GE, Flour, Westinghouse, Dept of Energy, Dept of Defense, Power Utilities, Telecom Utilities, Banking, etc.
Ideal candidates bring strengths in one or more of the following areas:
· C – Level/Executive Level people network within energy and telecom sector
· C – Level/Executive Level people network within the banking sector
· Minority Business Enterprise Advocacy
· Building Professional Recruitment and Consultancy Business
· Executive Level Program planning
The organization is looking for Board members that are engaged and excited about the Nuclear and Renewable Energy and Telecom/IT, and also believe in its mission. The time commitment will be about 6 hours per month, but with opportunities for additional service if interested. Board member responsibilities include knowing the organization's mission, purpose, goals, policies, programs, services, strengths and needs.
Board members will work to strengthen agency resources, public standing, programs, services and business development. Collectively, the board of directors is responsible for financial oversight of the organization and ensures the agency's legal and ethical integrity and accountability to the public.
