Follow on Google News | Pastor Gone Wild - Cd Release: “the Truth”Cutting edge probably refers to the sharp edge of a knife or sword. This sharp edge (the word) is what goes first and cut through obstructions so the knife can go to vital target (the soul).
By: Mona Johnson With that being said, the long awaited album of Pastor William O’Neal, known to his following as “Keep It Real O’Neal” is finally here! From the moment you press play on your cd player you will be entertained with the gospel cut, "Keep It Real," with it's funkadelic guitar lines and melodic hook. Next you will be entertained with clips from the talk show. You will then realize you are listening to an extraordinary individual whom God strategically released for such a time as this. Just think of Bernie Mac, Richard Pryor, and Bill Cosby all rolled in one preaching the word of God and keeping it clean. Many times I asked myself “can the pastor say that?!? As my steering wheel and seatbelt held me up from doubling over in laughter. It is so refreshing to be able to hear the unadulterated truth, not sugarcoated, not dressed up, not hidden like a pill in a glass of orange juice, but straight up and to the point. After you digest you will realize that the medicine actually did you some good. Kudos to O’Neal for not dumbing it down neither missing the target with this one. Keep it Real O’Neal moved from Milwaukee, WI to Dallas, TX in 1986 with five dollars and five suitcases! He later became the Pastor at First Mt. Zion Baptist Church, where he was physically locked out of the church for being too contemporary. He then started New Life in Christ Ministries, a non-denomination church in Irving, Texas where the focus is less on tradition and is geared more toward building a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Keep it Real O’Neal also known as KIRO is an internet based radio show hosted by Pastor O’Neal, that broadcasts from Irving, Tx. Real issues, christian advice, made plain. Can be found at www.myspace.com/ Please note: As you listen to this album “The Truth”, be prepared to ask yourself does God have a sense of humor? Is there a chance that a Pastor is still allowed to have his own unique personality, style, sense of humor, and opinions as well as preach the word of God? Did he just give advice to a “hoe” and a “pimp” while using the term “breezy” to describe a woman? Did he just tell the truth about Pastors and First Lady’s in the church? Most importantly ask yourself what kind of impact did he have on you as you listened, its like being on the other side of the pulpit and finding out he actually is who he says he is no matter if its Sunday or any other day of the week. # # # Keep It Real O'Neal offers Real Talk, Real Views, Real Issues and Real Advice. www.keepitrealoneal.com End
