Having opened in 2001, the building is converted from what used to be the Grade II listed jail, guardhouse and ammunition building. This combines an historic atmosphere with modern accommodation and dining facilities for a warm welcome in Sheffield.

Our Hisoric Hotel in Sheffield has convenient access to all local public transport with both the supertram and regular bus services from Hillsborough Interchange, and excellent local leisure facilities. For shopaholics why not visit Meadowhall or Sheffield City Centre to pick up some bargains, or visit one of Sheffield`s many museums or attractions to relax the hours away.
Allow us to meet all of your conference venue requirements with our two conference venue suites, The Cell and The Armoury. Both venues will cater for up to 30 people, and with a variety of Corporate and Social packages available we are hard to beat. Alternatively our Garrison Function suite can cater for a different type of meeting or conference due to the design and adaptation of the room. Conference Room - The Cell

Allow us to meet all of your conference requirements….The Cell is situated in the basement of the Jailhouse and can cater up to a maximum of 40 delegates set out in theatre style, full details of which can be obtained in The Conference and Banqueting Package.

Conference Room - The Armoury

Allow us to meet all of your conference requirements…The Armoury is a Grade II listed building where all the ammunitions for the barracks were stored. It has been adapted to form a unique small conference room which can cater up to a maximum of 30 delegates arranged in an informal layout. Exact details of prices etc can be obtained from the Conference and Banqueting Package.
Following the 1994 marriage act The Garrison Hotel became approved for Civil Ceremonies, which means couples can now exchange their vows here, as well as enjoying their wedding reception. We fully understand how important your wedding day will be and look forward to the opportunity of helping you make it the happiest day of you life. Full details of menu’s, prices etc are contained in the Wedding Brochure. We pride ourselves on making your Wedding day a day to remember.

Have the whole day here starting with the wedding breakfast for up to 70 people then move on to the evening reception for you and 120 guests, and enjoy the disco out in the conservatory, to stopping over and waking refreshed to begin your new lives together.

Restaurant & Function Room

This room is extremely versatile! With seating for up to 120 people, this space is used as a bespoke evening venue for our weddings. We can supply everything that you will need, from DJ’s and bands through to flowers and balloons.

The Garrison Function & Civil Ceremony Wedding Room

The Garrison Function Room is situated on the second floor and is part of the listed Jailhouse Building. It incorporates the cells in which the military prisoners were kept and provide very interesting rooms. The Garrison room can cater up to 70 guests on an informal layout – full details are contained in the Wedding Package.
