Comedian/Actor Dante Nero of the feature film “Fighting” available for interviews.

April 20, 2009 - PRLog -- Dante Nero began comedy 10 years ago primarily working the New York comedy club circuit. While Dante is an extremely talented comedian who has garnered praise from the likes of Dave Chappelle, Patrice O’Neil, Robert Kelly, Darnell Rawlings and so many more, he has struggled to find balance in the comedy world because of his intimidating appearance. At 6’2” and almost 300 pounds, tattooed from neck to toe, he might actually scare people on stage before making them laugh. This provides Dante with an even bigger challenge of winning audiences over and he does.
    His struggles in the comedy world have led Dante to the big screen. Dante Nero is currently starring in the movie “Fighting” with Channing Tatum and Terrance Howard and opens April 24, in theatres everywhere. He plays the role of Kimo, an underground pit fighter who leads his gang with an iron fist, but is verbally abused by his 4’10” latin girlfriend. Dante says that the character is much like his own bio. Dante was very much a part of the underground pit fighting world in his 20s and became more and more involved in the underground MMA scene.
    Now 42, the comedian turned actor just wants to make people laugh. Dante is currently performing in comedy clubs around New York City and the tri-state area and has recently signed up with newly formed Cringe Humor Entertainment. He is also starring in a forth-coming documentary series called “Bounced.” Which follows the lifestyle of New York City bar/club bouncers.
