Innovation 360 Institute Launches Dedicated Healthcare Practice Team

April 27, 2009 - PRLog -- (Dubai, UAE) Innovation 360 Institute proudly announces the launch of its practice team dedicated to healthcare providers in the GCC. Led by healthcare veterans and Performance Excellence professionals, the team will work closely with both private and government-run hospitals, clinics and laboratories in the region to standardize and, where needed, improve the quality of healthcare.

Innovation 360’s healthcare practice team draws on more than a decade of working with large hospital systems such as US-based Trinity Health, as well as healthcare suppliers, such as Johnson & Johnson and Merck, and healthcare insurers, like BlueCross and BlueShield. The team has expertise leading quality and standardization efforts in both clinical and administrative areas including:

· Clinical outcomes and patient safety – areas directly affecting the treatment and well being of patients, such as LOS (length of stay), hospital acquired infections, administration of IV’s and medicine, ventilator usage, etc.

· Workflow – issues that affect timeliness, delivery and operations, such as OR scheduling, ER turnaround time, radiology patient throughput, admissions and discharge processes, case management, etc.

· Compliance – consistency and completeness in documentation, processes and procedures to meet standards set by organizations such as JCAHO (Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations) and JCI (Joint Commission International), one of the issuers of accreditation in the GCC.
