Follow on Google News | "American Graffiti car show"American Graffiti was a great film of 1972 that begged various awards and started a new craze for car shows among people. To celebrate its huge success, car show event every year where numerous classic cars of America are registered for the show.
By: Dwayne Goerges American Graffiti salute event for the year 2009, which is to start from 14th of May and run till 16th, has already recorded a lot of registrations and is completely booked. Cars from all over America have been registered for the event. It also gets visitors from all over the country as well as from other countries like Japan, Canada, and Sweden etc. Petaluma’s Salute to American Graffiti is a celebration time, which is completely family oriented with no alcohol at all. The event is scheduled to run for three days starting from 14th till 16th May. The first day will start with Henry Travers’ Scholarship Dinner as an attraction, followed by American Graffiti Cruise-in & Kickoff Social at the Petaluma Plaza/Plaza North the next day, i.e. on 15th May. The final day of Salute 2009 is going to be a spectacular show having around 300 classic American cars. Not only this, there will be many more attractions like live bands, street dance performances, karaoke, and street games for the visitors. To add to this, it has been planned that the place will be turned into the Mel’s Burger City. There will be drive-in restaurants and the border blaster radio station, exactly as had been pictured in the movie. The new addition to the salute 2009 even is the inauguration of Holstein’s Herd, which is the show of classic police, fire chief and ambulance vehicles. Registrations for this Holstein’s Herd are on.
