June 8, 2009 - PRLog -- URBANA, IL – Carle Clinic Occupational Medicine is reducing prices on physicals and drug screens as a way to lend support to central Illinois businesses, many of whom have the need to scale back expenses in the current economic climate.

Carle Clinic is now offering a 33 percent discount on basic pre-employment, Department of Transportation (DOT) and bus driver physicals in Urbana, Danville and Rantoul.  In addition, drug screenings are being reduced by 20 percent at Occupational Medicine locations in Urbana and Rantoul.

“The economy has had an impact on all businesses and our clients have communicated to us their need to cut costs,” said Thomas Sutter, DO, MPH, Occupational and Environmental Medicine, Carle Clinic.  “In 2008, Illinois ranked 10th in the nation for highest worker’s compensation insurance rates.  We continually educate our business clients on the importance of physicals and drug screens as a method to reduce loss of productivity and lower the risk of workplace injuries.”

The decreased rates will be effective through December 31, 2009.  For more information on physicals and screenings, go to
