This tour provides them a real-world taste of being a professional musician while providing the audiences an unparalleled night of great music, unlike anything they’ve ever experienced.” Rockers of all ages can catch this tour up the I-35 corridor, east on Interstate 90 and back southwest again on I-44. They are the best and brightest students from the School of Rock Music’s 55+ locations nationwide,” School of Rock Music (http://www.schoolofrock.com) students learn, practice and perform locally year-round in their respective School of Rock Music branches. Each February students are invited to audition for the Summer Tour. “Being selected for this tour is like winning an American Music Award for a professional musician,” explained Nate Beck, a former All Star Tour member, graduate of the School of Rock and now professional musician. “It gives you a real taste of what it’s like to be a touring musician. For me, the tour confirmed my desire to be a professional musician. That’s what makes the School of Rock so much better than other music lessons. Not only do you get excellent music training but you also get the opportunity to perform. And if you take your music seriously you also get exposure to other parts of the business, like touring, to give you a true sense of what a career as a musician is like. I learned more at School of Rock than I did as a student at Musicians’ Institute, which is music college! And, quite honestly the All Stars are as good as, if not better, than a lot of the bands I’m hearing here in L.A.!” For additional information on the School of Rock Music 2009 Midwest Summer Tour, contact Paige Peavler, visit the School of Rock website at http://www.schoolofrock.com or follow the Midwest Tour on Twitter at http://www.twitter.com/ About School of Rock Music: The Paul Green School of Rock Music was founded in 1998 with one simple but firm belief; that the best way to learn to play music is to PLAY MUSIC. Toward that end, we have spent the last ten years putting our students on the greatest stages in the country…from the legendary CBGBs in NYC to the Whiskey in LA, with performances at Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits, and innumerable amazing venues and events in between. By doing so, we hope to instill in our students an appreciation of hard work and love of music that will stay with them their entire lives.
