June 25, 2009 - PRLog -- With over 1,800 employees serving 1,400 residents in seven senior housing communities in South Florida
& Israel, The Palace’s annual award recognition honors excellence in budget performance, resident and
family satisfaction, development and improvement, attitude, loyalty, spirit of volunteerism,
professionalism and peer evaluation.
“Certainly every company looks to conserve expenses,” said CEO Jacob Shaham. “But now more than
ever, it’s important to reward our employees who raise the bar in serving our residents. Showing our
appreciation is just one of the many ways we motivate and inspire our employees. These traditions need
to continue.”
This year’s six recipients received an all expense paid trip to world-renowned Cloister Hotel in Sea
Island, Georgia. Team building activities focused on problem-solving and communication and included
building senior living community sand castles on the resort’s private beach to ballroom dance lessons,
kayaking and skeet shooting at Sea Island’s Southeast Shooting Camp, which ranks among the best in the
country.
The top managers were selected from The Palace at Home, the company’s Medicare-certified home
health agency. Under the leadership of Vice-President of Home Health, Julio Chacon, the agency was
named as one of the top 100 Home Health care Agencies in the U.S. by OSC, Inc., the leading provider of
health care informatics and DecisionHealth, publisher of home care’s most respected independent
newsletter, Home Health Line. Additionally, The Palace at Home received a certificate of achievement
from FMQAI, the Medicare Quality Improvement Organization for Florida.
The same award program was conducted at Palace Tel-Aviv, a Continuing Care Retirement Community
in Israel, and recipients of the international Manager of the Year received a trip to Crete, Greece.
The Palace’s continuum of care includes The Palace Suites, an Independent Living Community; The
Palace Royale, a “Catered Living” Community; The Palace Renaissance Assisted Living Community;
The Palace Nursing & Rehabilitation Center; The Palace Gardens Assisted Living Community in
Homestead; The Palace at Home, a Medicare-Certified Home Health Agency; The Palace at Weston,
Luxury Living for Those 55 and Over; and Palace Tel-Aviv, a Continuing Care Retirement Community in
Israel. Their two newest projects, The Palace at Weston Senior Living and The Palace at Coral Gables,
are under development.
