Policies, regulations, and programs are explained as they actually are applied, not necessarily as the A & O Manual says they are followed.

The second part of Jail Time involves the whole prison experience starting with the initial investigation and ending with the inmate’s discharge from Supervised Release. The unwritten rules of prison life, what to expect from the staff and inmates, sex, violence, and the boring daily prison schedule are presented. Frantz discusses appropriate behavior in prison and what you can do to avoid unpleasant experiences during your time there. This part of Jail Time is written from an inmate’s perspective and will be the most valuable when adjusting to prison culture. Everything from prison food, to the black market, to bathroom protocol is discussed here.
