July 3, 2009 - PRLog -- Hythe-based travel company HolidayExtras.com came away with the Employer of the Year award from the inaugural Kent Excellence in Business Awards. The company was also named among the finalists for Large Business of the Year and Customer Service and Commitment Award.

Organised by Kent County Council and The KM Group, the Kent Excellence in Business Awards took place at Leeds Castle on July 2, recognising those local companies that had been the outstanding performers in the past 12 months. More than 200 companies across the county entered.

"To have been named the winner of the Employer of the Year is a great honour for HolidayExtras.com," said Steve Lawrence, CEO of HolidayExtras.com. "Kent is continuing to expand as a base for bigger and bigger companies, so even to be nominated alongside such an illustrious selection says much about what we are trying to achieve at HolidayExtras.com."

HolidayExtras.com specialises in providing airport hotels, lounges and car parking for travellers flying from 26 UK airports.

The company, based in Hythe, Kent, has a rich award-winning pedigree, having been named in The Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work For earlier in 2009.
