July 8, 2009 - PRLog -- Mark Guernsey of Clark County REMC in Indiana has been working on Clark Counties 40+ fleet vehicles for 29 years.  As the sole power mechanic, he doesn’t have time to repair truck accessories that need to be continually fixed or worse yet replaced.  “More important than my time is the fact that our lineman are out trouble-shooting at night; reliability is why we switched over to the NightRay remote control spotlight.” explains Guernsey.  “I have NightRay’s from 9 years ago I’m still using today.  The spotlight works and lasts.”

It’s not a secret that exterior spotlights take a fair amount of abuse.  Prior to introducing the NightRay Wireless, K&H Industries conducted 6 months of in-field testing.  From putting the spotlights through the harsh Alberta, Canada winter – to mounting it to off-road inspection Jeeps in the Texas oil fields.

“We mount the NightRay Spotlights to the winch guards and hoods of our trucks.” says Guernsey. “When we tried this with another popular spotlight – the light completely fell apart from the vibrations.  The NightRay performed perfectly even under heavy-duty, continual vibration conditions.”

Clark County’s fleet is currently using 16 NightRay spotlights and is in the process of switching the entire fleet over to NightRay’s. says Guernsey. “With the wireless our single-man crews can drive and operate the light at the same time.  The wireless remote works better than any remote spotlight we’ve used before.    It’s also ideal for our guys to bring up in the bucket with them to redirect the light beam as needed.”
