Dallas Gospel Favorite Brings Big Sound To New Album

July 13, 2009 - PRLog -- DALLAS, TX  – From Anthony Hamilton, Mary Mary and New Kids On The Block to the American Airlines Center, Nokia Theatre and The Potter’s House Church, Kristie Kirk has shared notable stages with noteworthy talent all over Dallas.  Now Kirk is set for the spotlight as she debuts her new gospel album, “Shine,” this Friday at 7 p.m. at Da Space in Dallas.

Like many in gospel music, Kirk started singing in church as a toddler and has gone on to perform all over Texas.  What sets Kirk apart is her genuine love for contemporary gospel, not only as a musical genre, but also as a message.  “I can’t imagine doing anything else. This is why God placed me here and in this position, to inspire others through singing and music,” said Kirk.  

Her new release “Shine” features production by Dallas’ own Robert “Sput” Searight, Deonis Cook, Candy West, Tavares Gardner and a host of others.  Kirk is signed to local label, Living Waters Entertainment. She describes the album as a mix of contemporary and urban styles that are sure to please.  “Gospel music is who I am,” said Kirk. “It satisfies my spirit.”
