The aim of the executive briefing is to develop sustainable communications strategies for organisations that are essential to employees, customers and stakeholders. She was the National Strategic Manager for the counter-terrorism exercise Mercury O5 and an expert adviser to the Department of Health and Ageing for its first pandemic influenza exercise, Cumpston 06. Rita leads the technical working group to develop a national standard for Organisational Resilience and she advises government and the private sector on developing their corporate resilience, tests their business and security plans and facilitates exercises. Rita has presented and facilitated at the Pandemic Influenza & Infectious Diseases Summit 2008. Ms Parker holds a Master of Business Administration and she is a Visiting Fellow with the University of New South Wales at the Australian Defence Force Academy.
