ThinkERGO, LLC Ergonomics Exposition to Showcase Worker Safety and Productivity Solutions

July 17, 2009 - PRLog -- Orlando, FL  – ThinkERGO, LLC, an Orlando based company designing solutions that provide optimal safety and productivity in the workplace, will hold an Ergonomics Exposition, Wednesday, July 22, 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. at the Disney Entrepreneur Center, in Training Room 1 and 2. The FREE event is being sponsored by the African American Chamber of Commerce of Central Florida at 315 Robinson Street, Suite 100, Orlando, Florida 32801.

“We help build solutions for work environments across the country that transforms them into a more healthy ergonomic culture,” notes ThinkERGO, LLC president Johnine Mowatt.  “Given our fully customizable approach to client services, we are able to help organizations vastly reduce work related injuries, such as carpel tunnel syndrome, tendonitis, and tennis elbow.  There is also a significant decrease in employee sick days, medical costs, and worker’s compensation,” Mowatt states further.

During the Ergonomics Exposition, best practices will be discussed and interactively demonstrated by a trained ergonomics engineer and vendors in the application of: setting up the computer workstation, using ergonomic computer desk accessories and office materials, stretching and exercising for computer users, massages for problem areas, using ergonomic travel bags, and other useful solutions to maintaining a worker friendly environment.  A vendor will also be available to teach the art of ergonomic office furniture selection and negotiation.  

The general public is encouraged to attend this FREE event. There will be a thirty minute presentation beginning at 12:30 p.m to discuss cost benefitting effects of using ergonomics. There will be raffles and door prizes, and refreshments will be provided to event participants.

Johnine Mowatt is president of ThinkERGO LLC, and serves as Principal Consultant and Ergonomics Engineer. As a technical trainer, Johnine conducts seminars on the principles of effective ergonomic operation to engineers throughout North America and Asia. Prior to the company’s opening in 2008, she received international recognition for work in increasing operational efficiency and risk reduction in the pharmaceutical and medical devices industry.  Johnine is a graduate of the College of Engineering, Industrial Engineering and Management Systems Department at the University of Central Florida, and longtime senior member of the Institute of Industrial Engineers.
