Aug. 6, 2009 - PRLog -- Grantham University, www.grantham.edu, an online university specializing in educating working adults, today announced that the Air Force Association (AFA) awarded a four-year Grantham University scholarship to a dependent of an Air Force Active Duty Airman.  The scholarship, valued at $36,000, covers tuition costs, required textbooks, software, fees and shipping of the course materials.

Mike Casem will utilize the scholarship to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, as he has always been interested in technology.  “My parents have always supported me through thick and thin,” he commented.  “Being able to show my gratitude by succeeding in my studies would be my greatest honor.”

With the flexibility of Grantham’s online degree programs, Casem will be able to balance both work and school and not have to adhere to a set classroom schedule.  His goal is to be the second grandchild in his family to earn an undergraduate degree.

“Like so many of our working adult students, Mike knows that a college degree will open doors in his career field,” said Dr. John LaNear, president of Grantham University.  “Education is important to him, and Grantham University is excited at the opportunity to make a difference in his life.”

Grantham’s 100% online degree programs allows students to access their coursework when and where it’s convenient for them, so they can fit education into their lives instead of arranging their lives around education.
