Aug. 6, 2009 - PRLog -- the fantastic Science fiction short BURDEN sold out not just one screening at the Laemmle Playhouse 7 Theater in Pasadena but a second unscheduled screening as well.
“This has never happened in the history of our festival..,” said Del Weston, AOF Festival Creator, “…it is a true testament to not just how great the work is but to how hard the film was promoted by the director, Michael Lynch”.
The sell out crowd was also treated to a screening of the new film Enigma which was also a world premiere at the 5th Annual event.  In attendance at the 2009 show were nearly 17,000 guests who were treated to nearly four hundred films, videos, documentaries and more.
Festival Director, Josh Neufeld said, "Lynch proved that you don’t have to have a billion dollar advertising budget to put people in seats.  You can do it with grass roots efforts and old fashioned determination.”
Eric Bana, Ron Perlman and Kim Coates who received the 2009 AOF Half Life Award were also in attendance to see a screening of the new Damien Lee film, King of Sorrow.  Past guests and honorees of the festival have included Michael Madsen, David Carradine, John Savage, Bill Duke and many others.
Weston added, “The quality of Michael’s work was really some of the best we’ve seen.  He deserved all of the praise and applause he received and more.  This guy has a future in film and television, that is for sure.”  For more information on the AOF Festival and Burden visit www.aoffest.com
