Hosts of the DogWatch Cigar Internet Radio Show Receive Tobacconist Certification

Aug. 20, 2009 - PRLog -- Palm Bay, Florida – Bob McDuffee and Dale Roush, co-hosts of DogWatch Cigar Radio, a weekly internet radio show (podcast), have been awarded Certified Salesforce Tobacconist (CST) designations after completing Tobacconists University’s (TU) academic curriculum and testing requirements.  Tobacconist University is the official curriculum resource of the International Premium Cigar and Pipe Retailers Association (IPCPR).


“The IPCPR is excited to congratulate Bob and Dale of DogWatch Cigar Radio on their TU certification. Bob and Dale’s determination to learn as much about the premium cigar and tobacco industry demonstrates their devotion to learn as much as they can about the field they cover,” said Chris McCalla, Legislative Director of  IPCPR.  



McDuffee added that “The knowledge gained during the certification process will allow us to bring even more depth to our radio shows. TU certification allows us to put the art of cigars into a context that enhances our enjoyment, adds credibility to our show and greatly expands the knowledge we can pass along to our listeners.”  



As Certified Salesforce Tobacconists (CST), McDuffee and Roush have committed to adhere to a tobacconist code of ethics and demonstrated their knowledge of tobacco, accoutrements, taste and service through an independent testing process at Tobacconists University.  McDuffee and Roush are the first members of the cigar entertainment industry to receive  Tobacconist Certification.  Jorge Luis Armenteros, Certified Master Tobacconist and President and Founder of Tobacconists University also offered his congratulations, "In order for Tobacconist University (TU) to build and project the credibility of the luxury tobacco industry, we need the participation of the industry’s most passionate, knowledgeable and articulate members.   Furthermore, in order to fulfill our mission to build credibility, culture, and community, we need Certified Tobacconists with character, integrity, and a commitment to educate and share their passions.  To that end, certifying Bob McDuffee, CST and Dale Roush, CST from DogWatch Cigar Radio has been an honor for TU and a big step towards fulfilling our mission.  These CST bring unparalleled expertise, entertainment, humor, and genuine camaraderie to our family of Certified Tobacconists.  In my opinion, they produce and host the most entertaining and enlightened radio show in the industry; but while anyone can talk for two hours a week about something they love, these esteemed CST have the substance to back it up."
