Ashy L Bowz win September Get Your Buzz Up Showcase...then disqualified!

Sept. 3, 2009 - PRLog -- The Get Your Buzz Up Showcase is a monthly staple of the New York City underground Hip Hop scene. The award nominated monthly show provides a platform for underground artists to gain exposure and well "get their buzz up". Hosted by Inasirkl Music Groups J. Hatch, the event is usually judged by a whose who of hip hop media and major label anr executives.The competition style event includes coveted independent artist prizes such as popular mixtape features, cd duplication and digital distribution amongst others. Services that would give any Underground artists career a boost.

The two day monthly event draws the cream of the crop of the New York Underground. Hip Hop group the Ashy L Bowz entered the first day of the August event and after besting the competition judged by representatives from Magazines XXL and the Source as well as BadBoy. The ALB'z won the grand prize of global marketing and distribution by entertainment promotion giant Digiwaxx. Combined with their already never ending work ethic thiswould have brought the Ashy L Bowz to another level the group however was disqualified for leaving the event before the end therefore forfeiting their prize. The group later said "We dozed off at the wheel. Even when we're not competing we stay till the end to support other artists." "Were real upset at ourselves right now but at the endof the day we gotta keep moving and not let this stop our momentum".
