Golfers attending will have the opportunity to hit the links while networking with a host of well-known invited celebrities. Past celebrity attendees include Maurice DuBois; WCBS News Anchor, Bill Daughtry; Sports Announcer, and Gus Williams; former NBA player. Robbie Jackson, President of the Boy and Girls Club of Mount Vernon said, “The Kiwanis Club and the Boys and Girls Club of Mount Vernon have partnered to explore the tree-lined fairways for a great day of golf and fellowship all while raising funds for a great cause. It’s an experience for golf lovers of all levels.” The Boys and Girls Club of Mount Vernon will honor Pete McDaniel, Senior Editor of Golf Digest and author of “Uneven Lies: The Heroic Story of African-Americans in Golf “ with the Denzel Washington Youth Service Award. Mr. McDaniel continues his commitment to the community and was also the recipient of the “Publisher of the Year” award.
