Pink Slip Party Helps Revive Dead Job Searches

Oct. 5, 2009 - PRLog -- West Chester, PA – The unemployed in the Delaware Valley will soon have another opportunity to connect with hiring companies. JobCircle.com, the mid-Atlantic’s largest regional job board, is hosting a second Pink Slip Party in Conshohocken after a successful run of these employment events over the past several months. The Pink Slip Party concept returned to JobCircle’s schedule earlier this year in response to the depressed employment market. After hosting events in Philadelphia, New Jersey, Baltimore and the Lehigh Valley, the company decided to return to Conshohocken and provide companies and jobseekers a second opportunity to participate.  

This type of networking event allows those who have been “pink slipped”, or worried about their job security, to meet with recruiters, HR professionals and hiring managers in a casual, happy hour-type setting. It provides a new lifeline for discouraged jobseekers that have not been able to secure a job in the recent months. Jobseekers can also interact with one another, share experiences and make new connections to help them accelerate their job search.

The Greater Philadelphia Pink Slip Party is planned for Wednesday, October 14th  from 5 to 8pm at the Great American Pub in Conshohocken, PA. The cover charge is $10 for jobseekers who register at http://www.jobcircle.com/pinkslip and include a cash bar and free appetizer buffet.
