Oct. 6, 2009 - PRLog -- Kington Magna Public Relations (KMPR) is honored to announce a relationship has been formed between KMPR and Singer/Songwriter Chris Blake. Effective immediately, KMPR will handle all press inquiries related to Chris Blake's music and his upcoming EP release.

"Chris is an amazingly talented songwriter and musician, and it is going to be an awesome experience working with him," stated Joel Gaines, a principal partner at KMPR.

Chris Blake writes "socially conscious" alternative pop/rock songs about relationships, the environment and life. He has scored unique critical praise for an independent artist from hundreds of bloggers around the world. He has been compared to OneRepublic, Snow Patrol, Buffalo Tom, Muse, Counting Crows and Toad the Wet Sprocket.

Stubborn in its moodiness but unshakably melodic, Blake’s most recent album WAVE spans many genres of popular music — from progressive rock to folksy hip hop and 80s/90s pop. But each song retains a familiar feel, adding to the album’s “emotional spectrum of melancholy, charged opinion, and love." (BeatCrave)

Chris has been featured across an amazing spectrum of media, including BoingBoing, VH1’s BestWeekEver, GigaOm, Cosmopolitan (France), and ShinyShiny. The attention led to an online promotion with 103.5 KISS-FM in Chicago and a featured spotlight on 1340 KWLE-AM in Seattle, as well as on the legendary 95.5 KLOS-FM in Los Angeles.

Chris Blake also has several videos available on YouTube, including the viral hits Lullaby, a hit among parents, and Someone Else - a song about unrequited love set to a compilation of some of the “weirdest, funniest and most touching real-life regrets” he found while Googling the Web.

In college, Blake penned "Burning Houses," the official song for USC’s presentation of the AIDS Memorial Quilt. As a music student, he also got songwriting tips from his hero Jackson Browne. Blake’s previous effort APARTMENT lent songs to several indie films, including "Silent Hearts" starring Marianne Jean-Baptiste from "Without a Trace." Blake has played some of the most storied clubs in Los Angeles and New York, including Whisky A Go Go, Coconut Teazer, Molly Malone’s, Cafe Figaro, and Cafe Sine.
