Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children Hosts Pediatric Orthopaedic Education Series

Oct. 15, 2009 - PRLog -- Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children and The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center hosted a Pediatric Orthopaedic Education Series (POES) in El Paso. The seminar brought together pediatricians, family practitioners, orthopedic surgeons, physician assistants, advanced practice nurses and allied healthcare professionals from the El Paso area to learn about common pediatric orthopedic problems and how to treat these problems. TSRHC’s world-renowned orthopedists presented information about scoliosis http://www.tsrhc.org/scoliosis-spine.htm , developmental dislocation of the hip and other common pediatric orthopedic conditions. http://www.tsrhc.org/pediatric-orthopedics.htm Medical professionals earned continuing education credits for attending the program. The series has also been held in Plano, McAllen, Waco and Tyler.

In conjunction with the event TSRHC hosted an appreciation dinner to thank West Texas friends for their support of the hospital.

POES and other educational seminars offered by TSRHC are part of the hospital’s ongoing effort to provide physicians and the medical community with the latest training in pediatric orthopedic advancements.
