Oct. 21, 2009 - PRLog -- Margo Berman will have a Book Discussion and Release Party on Saturday, November 7th from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Books & Books, 265 Aragon Avenue, Coral Gables. It will celebrate the launch of her second book, The Brains Behind Great Ad Campaigns: Creative Collaboration between Copywriters and Art Directors. She will discuss the behind-the-scenes look at the creative process and explain how teams collaborate at major agencies to create unforgettable campaigns.

This 224-page book (ISBN 0-7425-5551-8) shows how creative briefs drive on-strategy solutions in all media from traditional to ambient. It explains which campaigns went off-course and why, presents one-on-one interviews with insiders’ candor, and offers more than 50 exciting, visual examples. Each chapter reveals various aspects of the creative process, from conceptual and brainstorming techniques to strategic visual and verbal messaging.

Margo’s first book, Street-Smart Advertising: How to Win the Battle of the Buzz (ISBN 0-7425-0371), explained what creates a buzz in today’s challenging marketplace. Published in 2006 by the same publisher, Rowman & Littlefield Publishers, it has gone global and is now in Russia (in Russian). Written in an easy-to-read style, Street-Smart Advertising demonstrates specific techniques to develop well-targeted messages and promotional campaigns that will be noticed. This handy guide is packed with excellent visual examples, comments by top creative talents, powerful advertising techniques, and more. The accompanying 12-part webinar series, Street-Smart Advertising and More Street-Smart Advertising, won a national AWC Clarion Award in 2008.

Both books are available from the publisher’s Web site http://rowmanlittlefield.com; on the author’s Web site, http://www.unlocktheblock.com; at http://www.amazon.com; and through all major bookstores. Internationally, they are also available on these sites http://www.whsmith.co.uk (U.K.) and http://www.flipkart.com (India).
