By: NSPR These series of switches join the ranks of D-Link’s xStack DGS-3200 and xStack DGS-3600 that were previously certified to this level earlier on in the year. This certification demonstrates D-Link’s commitment to providing the highest level of interoperable and secure networking, while meeting the growing demands for IPv6-capable functionality from business and public sectors. The IPv6 Ready Logo series of tests have been progressively enriched; compared with Phase-1, the Phase-2 Logo verifies optimum compliance because it expands the “core IPv6 protocols” test coverage and adds new extended test categories. By receiving the IPv6 Phase-2 Ready Logo the xStack DGS-3400 series, xStack DES-3200 series, xStack DES-3528/52 series and DES-7200 chassis series switches have satisfied all of the IPv6 Forum’s compliance and interoperability requirements. The switches are not only IPv6 capable but are also interoperable with other standard-based products in multi-vendor environments that support IPv6 functionality. This IPv6 Phase-2 certification also further ensures customers save on migration costs from IPv4 to IPv6 devices. “The growing number of IPv6 Phase-2 certified switches in D-Link’s portfolio, serves to highlight our commitment to providing our customers with best in class technology for their network, without impacting budgets,” explains Andrew Mulholland, D-Link’s Marketing Manager, UK and Ireland. According to the latest industry estimates[1] D-Link’s xStack DGS-3400 series, xStack DES-3200 series, xStack DES-3528/52 series and DES-7200 chassis series switches provide L2/L3 Gigabit solutions for business/enterprise and vertical markets. All offer embedded rich manageability, robust security and high reliability functions. They provide current IPv4 networks with a simple migration path to IPv6 and protect investments for future network upgrades when greater security and larger addressing are required. The IPv6 multicast host, the latest in protocol technology, enables maximum hardware performance. D-Link continues to focus its resources and efforts on obtaining the IPv6 Ready Logo Phase-2 certification for a wider range of product lines. http://www.ipv6forum.com END OF ANNOUNCEMENT About D-Link D-Link is the global leader in connectivity for small, medium and large enterprise business networking.
