Lexington NC Based Contemporary Christian Music Band “One Road Home” steps in for Lee Greenwood to perform Friday Nov. 13th at Butcher Auditorium Knoxville, TN


The band, “One Road Home” whose members call Piedmont NC home, will be filling the main attraction spotlight at the Historic Butcher Auditorium Friday Nov. 13 in Knoxville TN. Nashville Country Music Star Lee Greenwood had been booked for the sold out event but had to cancel the appearance a few weeks ago.

Contemporary Christian music songwriter and musician Steve Regan said today in a telephone interview, “I must say I was surprised when I received the phone call from my friend and Pastor Jerry Sanders about Lee Greenwood cancelling and our band One Road Home being chosen to perform in his place. My first reaction was Jerry had to be playing a joke but I soon learned it was for real”. Pastor Jerry Sander’s had placed a call to a friend at Hiwassee College a month ago in hopes of getting the One Road Home band booked for the event and opening for Lee Greenwood. Regan said he tried to explain to Pastor Sanders the bands would already be booked for this event “but that’s like talking to the wall when Jerry believes God is asking him to cast a net. Jerry said to me “you just never know what a phone call can do. God might have other plans”. Regan said Pastor Sanders called anyway and Regan was right, the bands had been booked for months. Regan said that what none of us knew however was that Lee Greenwoods agent would be cancelling the appearance…no fault to Mr. Greenwood of course and One Road Home would get the call to step in. The One Road Home Band has just completed their new recording project at Woodleaf Studio’s on their new CD by the same name, “One Road Home”. The CD was released October 15.

Regan’s music writing story and the bands quick rise in popularity is truly amazing. He accounts that a few days following a heart wrenching experience on his front porch October 9, 2008….God sent a new song for his life and then another song came. Within a few months, over thirty songs came and Steve Regan takes no credit. He says “the songs are simply a gift from God” and Regan has now committed himself to spending his remaining days sharing his front porch story and these incredible, life changing messages in performances and speaking venues throughout the U.S. “My life is now living proof that God has a new song for our lives as He desires to move us from where we are to someplace else. That someplace is closer to Him. He wants…He desires everything…all of us”.  This is the point where our new song comes…from Him.

“One Road Home” band members include Buddy Lomax, Tim Ervin, Gray Fallin and Regan. “God is moving at light speed sending all of these incredible songs to Steve, bringing each of us together, leading us to Woodleaf studios and changing lives…for the better.
