EON Bank Celebrates The Premiere Of The Storm Warriors With Fans In Malaysia

Nov. 12, 2009 - PRLog -- Fans of Hong Kong writer Ma Wing-Sheng’s comic series Fung Wan (The Storm Riders) are eagerly anticipating the premiere of the long awaited sequel to The Storm Riders film, titled The Storm Warriors, this December. Ten years in the making, the film directed by the Pang Brothers stars a host of Hong Kong superstars including Aaron Kwok and Ekin Cheng in the lead roles of Cloud and Wind, as well as Simon Yam, Nicholas Tse and Charlene Choi.

   In conjunction with the premiere, EON Bank Group is sharing the excitement of fans with three very special contests and additional premiere ticket redemptions for holders of the GSC-EON Bank Visa Credit Card. The premiere will be held at GSC MidValley Mega Mall on 9 December 2009.

    EON Bank is holding a three-prong contest to celebrate the premiere of The Storm Warriors: a blogger contest and two public contests.
   The blogger contest, running from 9 to 22 November utilising the popular Nuffnang channel, seeks to discover the most popular blogsites registered to create interest for the The Storm Warriors film. The top five bloggers with the highest number of clicks on the The Storm Warriors banner will receive: two invitations to meet the movie’s stars including crowd favourites Aaron Kwok and Ekin Cheng, who will be in Malaysia; two passes to the movie premiere; and exciting limited edition The Storm Warriors merchandise. Of these five, the top blogger will also win the Grand Prize of a Samsung Jet phone worth RM1,888. Another 25 bloggers will receive two passes to the movie premiere and The Storm Warriors merchandise. Winners will be notified on 26 November 2009.

   For the public YouTube video contest, entrants will be required to make a short video impersonating key characters from The Storm Warriors. Videos may be in Mandarin, Cantonese, Bahasa Malaysia or English. The video is required to be posted on YouTube and details of the entry are to be registered on the dedicated The Storm Warriors contest site – www.gsc-eonbankcard.com. This contest runs from 9 to 30 November 2009 and winners will be decided by the highest number of votes for their videos. Voting will be done on the The Storm Warriors contest site. Participants are encouraged to promote their entries and to solicit more votes for their videos via Facebook, MSN Messenger, Yahoo! Messenger and other social networking platforms. Winners will be notified on 3 December 2009.

   The Grand Prize for the public video contest will be the ‘Ultimate Movie Experience’, where the winning entrant and a guest will enjoy red carpet treatment with Gold Class invitations to the movie premiere; a chance to mingle around with local celebrities; a Samsung Jet phone worth RM 1,888 for the winner; plus exclusive movie merchandises. If the winner is a GSC-EON Bank Visa Credit Card holder, then he or she will also walk away with free movie passes for one year worth RM1,300 and the limited edition 8-piece The Storm Warriors mini sword replicas. There will be a prize presentation ceremony for winners of the blogger and YouTube video contests on 8 December 2009.

   The third contest is a The Storm Warriors trivia challenge on the movie contest site (www.gsc-eonbankcard.com) running from 9 November – 31 December 2009. Participants are required to answer three questions to stand a chance of winning a Samsung Explorer phone worth RM499 or a limited edition 8-piece The Storm Warriors mini sword replica set. The 88th, 188th, and 288th all-correct entries will win the phone while the 388th, 488th, and 588th entries will win the mini sword replica set. Winners will be selected at the end of the contest period. Each person may only submit one entry.
