Do You Want To Teach Dance Classes? Free Training Available!

Is there a school?  Is there a degree you get at the end?  How do you go about becoming a dance teacher?  These are many questions that are asked by people that want to learn to teach dance.  But when you go to the local college there are only classes to teach YOU to dance.  Not how to become a teacher yourself.  What people don't know is that being a dance teacher is not easy work.  It is not for everyone.  Most dance teachers - the good ones anyway - have been dancing their whole lives and become professional at it.  They pass on  knowledge to their students through classes and private lessons.  They know how to break down the dances into simple steps and help people learn.  They have alot of patience and tolerance and always smile.  Dancing as a business is much different than dancing for fun.  It takes courage and determination and ALOT of perserverence.  

Many dance studios teach instructor training courses as this is a good way to get inexpensive teachers for the duration of the contract.  It allows the trainee to have a place to practice and learn, to get training for free and start building a clientele.  It allows the studio an instructor that is a bit less expensive than the professional and allows for studio growth.

So if you are thinking of becoming a dance teacher and think you have what it takes, find a studio near you and see when the next training program starts.  Many will be starting in January.  The Bea Hive in Garden Grove is one of many that are starting in January.  If you are from OC, give them a call and see if you might have what it takes.
