In The ABCs of Stress Management: A practical philosophy and program of wellness, each chapter is keyed to a letter of the alphabet and contains a carefully assembled list of familiar words. Each word unfolds a concept or technique to identify and understand the actions, beliefs, or thoughts behind stressful situations. To reorient the reader's thinking, see stressors in a new light, and develop skills to reduce stress, this book offers easy-to-learn exercises matched to the key words. The word association techniques ensure an easy recall of the skills needed to detect stress early on, diffuse its negative effects, and create a greater sense of wellness.

Sally Luckenbach is based in the Lehigh Valley region of Pennsylvania.Through classes and private consultations, she teaches a broad spectrum of stress management techniques to address the physical, emotional, and mental concerns of each person.

A former reporter and copy editor for The Morning Call newspaper in Allentown, PA, she began her career in wellness and stress management in 1991. Sally has a BA in Psychology from Cedar Crest College, and continues her studies in the practice of CranioSacral Therapy and other wellness-enhancing techniques. She is affiliated with the Lehigh Valley Health Network.
