By: AWC South FL The objectives of “Toys for Tots” are to help less fortunate children throughout the United States experience the joy of Christmas; to play an active role in the development of one of our nation’s most valuable resources – our children; to unite members of our local communities in a common cause each year during the annual toy collection and distribution campaign; and to contribute to better communities in the future. Mother Teresa said “If you can't feed a hundred people, then just feed one.” Inspired by the quote we say: "If you can't make one hundred needy children happy for Christmas, then make just one!" To create a happy Christmas memory for a child in need, bring one new unwrapped toy to our Charity Tweetup location. Let’s all join hands with our United States Marine Corps Reserve and do all we can to make a difference for less fortunate children. No child should miss out on Christmas… This is an open event and price of admission will be one unwrapped toy. With online registrations, guest will enjoy complimentary hors d'oeuvres provided by Da Da Restaurant, music, dancing, a festive vibe and “$5 any drink” specials provided by DELUX Club and Lounge. This event is also a social networking opportunity so bring your business cards, your positive attitude and be ready to meet, mingle and have a great time with wonderful Twitter and FaceBook friends.
