By: Nicole Murray It’s no secret that the chaotic streets of New Orleans are a breeding ground for violence where the drug trad and lost lives are a daily reality. For kids growing up in those streets it is early in life that they learn what it takes to survive; hustle, determination and defiant resolve to get through each day by any means necessary. Peter “K’ottic” With the money he made from hustling on the streets he started building his collection of equipment and bought his first keyboard, an EPS 16 Plus. Since he was known in the streets and had credibility it was easy to sell beats to other local Hip Hop artists and soon he began rapping, producing and mixing his own songs. Using the same principles he’d learned hustling he built a buzz and a fan base in New Orleans and as that buzz grew he began to meet and work more closely with other producers and artists including Carlos Stephens who later became a part of No Limit Records’ Beats by the Pound production team. With this affiliation K’ottic began to push even harder for opportunities and became an opening act for Mystikal, Partners In Crime and other noted Hip Hop acts. After years as an artist experiencing the highs and lows of the music industry while maintaining his own career, K’ottic has launched NBM Entertainment to extend greater opportunities to the undiscovered superstars of the underground Hip Hop scene and to continue growing as an artist and business man. In 2009 he released his solo project, “Life Ain’t Easy” and “Tha South and Midwest Connection Vol. 1” featuring a variety of the independent artists that he has discovered along the way. The future is bright at NBM Entertainment with releases and projects scheduled well into 2010. Last month NBM Entertainment annuounced part of its strategic plan for the coming year kicking of with its first release on December 22, 2009 and IS working closely with noted Publicist and Strategic Marketing Consultant, Nicole Murray, to develop initiatives that will propel the NBM Entertainment brand and the brands of each of its artists into greater marketshare. # # # Change the Bubble amplifies the volume on the quieter voices in the world.
