Rucker, owner and host of her online radio station, is a pianist and gospel singer. Passionate about gospel music since she was a child, Rucker retired in 2003 to pursue her music and radio ministry. Physically stationed out of Knoxville, Tennessee, she will operate her station and reach millions across the country. Rucker will broadcast live Monday through Friday from
10:00 a.m. to 12 noon and 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. “I will have a fun show for people to call in and talk about whatever is on their mind.  They may pray, encourage someone or share spiritual thoughts and scriptures,” she says. “I hope to encourage, uplift, entertain and lead people to Christ,” she explained in a recent interview.  Sermons from well-known pastors from around the country will air each weekend.
Rucker is the former host of a popular radio show, The Gospel Train on 1580 WNPZ in Knoxville.  While working as a radio personality, she received an award from the National Alliance of Postal and Federal employees in 2008 for her reading program.  
When not on the air, Rucker enjoys performing with her group, Sharon Rucker and Voices.  Her debut cd was released in 2005.  She has also served as lead singer of The Precious Three, a 1970s group under the tutorledge of Clifford Curry, served as the mistress of ceremony and has shared the stage with nationally known gospel artists: Dottie Peoples, Dorinda Clark Cole, Keith “Wonderboy” Johnson, Chocolate (Chinnitta Morris) and Sara Jordan Powell. Rucker will release her sophomore cd late 2010.
