HOW TO SELL BOOKS ? An innovative method.

Jan. 6, 2010 - PRLog -- i am  Askin Ozcan,  the author of six published titles in the U.S.A., in different genres- all in English.
Considering that there are 13,5 million books in English, I don't want  my books get lost on the shelves of bookstores or in the internet bookshops.  Nor I am willing to pay huge sums to advertise my books in the media.  I have, therefore, devised a method which will give me a much better result in selling my books- some of them at least.

One of my books is THE SECOND VENICE  (ISBN 1598000888 - Outskirts Press) . This is an incredibly humorous fantasy. Called by many  a " Masterpiece in humor" !  It became Nr.1 in Italy Magazine, among the top rated books, surpassing the Roman Classic Juvenal's "Satires". Writer's Digest  complimented on it, by saying that " One doesn't get a chance to be bored while reading this book".  The known book critic Ernest Dempsey, complimented on the creativeness of the book in his review of it in the Compulsive Reader". His review appeared in such choice sites like www.thesop.org, www.newsblaze.com, www.archinect.com .  The book made for itself a place on the History of Venice page of www.veniceword.com  It was on 8 TVs and over 25 web-sites.
I  shall soon send it to the Architectural Section of The Venice Biennale, with the hope to place it in a corner there.
When it comes to selling it, I have a unique idea:  If attractive salesgirls and salesmen sell it  on the Piazzas and on the critical locations in Venice, it can sell the most, rather than hiding the book on the shelves of bookstores or in the internet bookshops.

My other book is "STOCKHOLM STORIES" - ISBN 1425771629  Xlibris.
Again, the best way to sell this book is by salesmen or salesgirls in the critical locations in Stockholm - like the Central Station, or the Stockholm Airport or in the Kungstradgarden - the magnificent park in the middle of Stockholm or in the boats of Stockholm.

My third book "SMALL MIRACLES" - ISBN 1598001000  (Outskirts Press) can best be sold
in front of the churches and mosques and sinagogs, as the congregation come out. Miracles is a  subject that interest the believers in any religion. The book has a chapter also in bringing the different religions of God closer, which brought compliments from
Writer's Digest. His Holiness The Pope Benedictus XVI thanked me for his copy. This book too, received very positive reviews in the above media.

My fourth book is a delightful poetry chap,  titled "LIGHTNING AND A BOUQUET OF ROSES".
ISBN 1424111870 Publish America.
Because of its gorgeous book-cover, it can sell very well, if placed next to the roses, at the florists. It received two first prizes at the Muses Review and got me invited twice to the finals of the International Society of Poets Poetry contest. (I couldn't go due to health reasons,) I shall attempt to introduce this book to the wholesalers who sell items to the florists.

Any book can find a proper place to sell, based upon its  title, context and book-cover.
Books don't have to be hidden on the shelves of the bookstores and in the internet bookshops.
