Jeffrey's Automotive Repair Launches Food Drive for Fort Worth Area Food Bank

Jan. 7, 2010 - PRLog -- Jeffrey's Automotive Repair announces an upcoming Food Drive to benefit the Food Pantry at the Community Enrichment Center (CEC).  Kelly Jeffrey Vaughn, Customer Relations, made the announcement to bring attention to the urgent need at all area food banks.

"During the holidays, many families are helped by organizations like the CEC," said Kelly.  "But now after the holidays, the shelves at the CEC Food Pantry are bare but the needs continue throughout the year.  At Jeffrey's, we believe in blessing our local community and helping families in need."

The CEC Food Pantry dispenses approximately 600,000 pounds of groceries annually to low income and elderly households in Northeast Tarrant County. Providing groceries to these families allows them to have funds to pay for other needs like rent, mortgage, utilities, education and medical expenses.

Employees and customers are encouraged to bring donations to Jeffrey's Automotive Repair in Watauga, one mile north of Loop 820 on Denton Hwy 377 near Western Center Blvd.  Those wishing to participate may print a list of suggested donations at Jeffrey's website, http://www.jeffreysautomotive.com.  An option exists as well for customers to make a cash donation to the CEC as part of the Jeffrey's Automotive Food Drive.  Customers who bring in a food donation will receive $5 off any automotive repair.

Jeffrey's Automotive has a history of partnering with the CEC.  Even as recent as Christmas, the employees of Jeffrey's made their own food donations in honor of Morton Jeffrey, owner of North Texas' largest independent automotive repair facility.  (see:  http://prlog.org/10458278)

The Food Drive will begin Monday, January 11 and continue through the end of the month.
