Vectir 2.1 Released - Now With Touch Screen Bluetooth Remote Control Support

Jan. 8, 2010 - PRLog -- Vectir release 2.1.0 now supports full Bluetooth Remote Control support for Java enabled Touch Screen mobile phones. The introduction of this high demand feature makes Vectir very unique amongst other Bluetooth Remote Control applications.

Vectir touch screen support effectively turns a touch screen mobile phone into an interactive virtual remote control. Media players such as Windows Media Player, Winamp and iTunes can be controlled remotely over Bluetooth by pressing virtual buttons on the phones display. Touch screen compliant menus also allow users to browse playlists and select songs from their mobile phone.

The Vectir remote desktop feature has also been updated for touch screen compatibility. This feature gives users full control of their PCs desktop from their mobile phone. Navigation, zoom, mouse cursor, mouse click and keyboard commands are all supported.

Users may also develop their own customised remote profiles for any application of their choice. This is possible with the Vectir Remote Profile designer, keyboard macros, command line and mouse commands. The Remote Profile designer has been updated to include touch screen button and slider controls.

To take advantage of the Vectir touch screen functionality, users must install PC version 2.1.0 or newer and mobile Java version 2.1.0 or newer.
