FREE Emergency Response Guidebook Video

Jan. 8, 2010 - PRLog -- PHMSA Makes Available Free ERG2008 Training Video.   The International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC), under a cooperative agreement with the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA), developed a companion training video to enhance the use of the Emergency Response Guidebook 2008 (ERG2008).  The purpose of this training video is to explain the contents of the ERG2008 and how to use it as a resource in the event of a hazardous materials transportation incident.  This ERG2008 training video is available for direct viewing from PHMSA’s website at http://phmsa.dot.gov/hazmat/library/erg or downloadable from IAFC’s website at www.iafctv.org.  Free DVDs are available by ordering online at PHMSA’s website https://hazmatonline.phmsa.dot.gov/services and navigating the links for “Training Materials and Publications,” then “Free Publications.”  Contact for media:  Joe Delcambre:  (202) 493-0730 and for non-orders:  Nancy White:  (202) 366-6020.

IAFC and PHMSA Release Emergency Response Guidebook Training Video

Before an Emergency, Become Familiar with the ERG

Fairfax, Va., Feb. 9, 2009... The International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC) has produced a companion training video to enhance the use of the Emergency Response Guidebook 2008 (ERG2008). The video was developed under a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA).

The training video explains the contents of the ERG and how to use it as a resource in the event of a hazardous materials transportation incident.  

The ERG2008 training video is available for direct viewing from PHMSA’s website at http://phmsa.dot.gov/hazmat/library/erg or downloadable from the IAFC’s Internet television channel, www.iafctv.org.  Free DVDs are available by ordering online at PHMSA’s website, https://hazmatonline.phmsa.dot.gov/services, and navigating the links for “Training Materials and Publications,” then “Free Publications.”

Copies of the video will also be available at IAFC’s International Hazardous Materials Response Teams Conference in Hunt Valley, Maryland on May 27-31, 2009. During the conference, the ERG2008 video will be shown during the National Hazardous Materials Fusion Center Update Session and copies will be handed out at the session.
