Jan. 9, 2010 - PRLog -- With the constantly changing smorgasbord of promotions, discounts, tournaments and club memberships offered by Las Vegas casinos, it can often be a challenge to decide which ones to pursue.  Fortunately, locals and tourists alike can check in weekly with Living-Las-Vegas.com’s gaming insider Eric J. Miller for expert advice and up-to-the-minute “intel.”  Miller’s “Casino Beat” column, launched in summer 2009 and appearing every Thursday, now reaches a large and growing audience of Las Vegas residents, visitors, and readers from around the globe.

“Keeping track of all the gaming and entertainment opportunities in Vegas can be a daunting and time-consuming task,” notes Mark Sedenquist, publisher of Living-Las-Vegas.com.  “Mr. Miller’s column is a great time and money-saver for our readers.”

Miller’s launched “Casino Beat” with an in-depth look at the benefits of membership in casino players clubs. “For those tourists and locals who find themselves stepping inside a casino every once in a while, it’s important to know what the various casino players’ cards are worth,” Miller wrote.  He went on to outline the benefits of membership in the top players clubs in Las Vegas.  Subsequent articles have covered local poker tournaments, casino promotions, entertainment bargains, parlay betting and football contests.  “Casino Beat” makes it easy for locals and tourists alike to take advantage of the best Las Vegas has to offer.

Miller’s path to “Vegas insider” status began in the early 1990s, when he moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in the entertainment industry. “A friend of a friend was a high roller at the old Sands,” Miller recalls. “I’ve always been a big Sinatra and Rat Pack fan, so having the chance to stay there was great. My first show was third row seats to see Ann Margaret. From that moment on, I was hooked on Vegas.”

Miller earned his first comps and “rated player” status at Steve Wynn’s Golden Nugget. “The old pool at the Nugget was great. I’ll always remember those cooling misters and the lounge chairs with the flags on the back to get the cocktail waitresses’ attention.” After Steve Wynn sold the Golden Nugget, the Rio became Miller’s new favorite casino. In 2005 he had a pirate-themed wedding at the iconic Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel.  In 2006 he and his new wife moved to Green Valley Ranch in Henderson, where he adds a local’s perspective to his columns about gaming.
